Plan on a deep clean and joint sand check annually or every other year, and a reseal roughly every three to five years depending on sun exposure and traffic. Driveways and full-sun patios sit at the shorter end of that range.
On most surfaces, yes. Sealer makes stains far easier to remove, slows UV fade, stabilizes joint sand, and can enhance the color. The key is using the right product and not over-applying it, which is where most DIY sealing goes wrong.
Usually. Settling is almost always a base or drainage issue, not a paver issue. We lift the affected units, correct and re-compact the base, address whatever caused the water problem, and reset the pavers.
It can if the pressure and tip are wrong, which is exactly why we control both. Aggressive washing strips joint sand and can etch the paver face. We clean at the right pressure and always plan to re-sand afterward.
