Yes, that is a large part of what we do. We clear out overgrown and declining material, reclaim the bed line, amend the soil, replant, and re-mulch. Most neglected beds look completely different in a couple of days.
For most properties a cleanly cut spade edge looks best and costs less to maintain than it sounds. Where turf is aggressive or the bed borders a hard surface, we install a low-profile steel or paver edge.
