Yes. A properly engineered paver driveway installation, built on a deep compacted base with driveway-rated units, handles more load than a comparable concrete slab. The interlock spreads weight across many pavers instead of relying on one rigid surface.
Better than concrete or asphalt. The joints let the surface flex slightly through freeze-thaw cycles rather than cracking, and the open-graded base drains instead of trapping water. Pavers also tolerate de-icing salt and plow blades well.
Absolutely. We recommend a plow with a rubber or poly cutting edge and shoes set slightly high, which is the same guidance that applies to concrete. Snow blowers are no problem at all.
Sweep and rinse it like any other surface, top off joint sand every few years, and reseal roughly every three to five years to keep the color rich and make oil spots easier to clean. We offer all of that as a maintenance service.
